The unique and ultramodern accommodation is the home of Only Friends and is the largest European sports centre for children and young people with a disability or chronic illness. The site’s official opening played host to Lucky Ajax with, among others, Sjaak Swart and Edwin van der Sar. The new field with a total of 24 LICHT² LED fixtures on eight new poles was put to good use with an average lux yield of 350 lux suitable for international tournaments.

Less than a year later, a complete LED lighting was added to the training field and athletics track. The main field was equipped with the LICHT² LED STADIONLUX developed exclusively by SPORT Technologies and produced in the Netherlands, providing more than 500 lux on the field. On Friday, August 3, 2018, it was the honour of ‘big brother’ AFC Ajax to officially open the field. In preparation for the new football season, the 1st of Ajax played a closed exhibition game against VFL Wolfsburg.
